‘Actor: Take One’ Excels Not Just in Storytelling but Also in Technical Mastery: Director Rajan Bhusal
“Actor: Take One has been produced to meet international technical standards,” Bhusal stated. “A film is not just about storytelling; it must also create an impact through its technical aspects. This movie is a testament to that belief.” The movie also marks the much-anticipated return of actor Raj Ballav Koirala to Nepali cinema after nearly a decade. Bhusal sees Koirala’s performance as a significant highlight of the project. Speaking about the actor’s return, Bhusal said, “Raj Ballav Koirala had made earlier attempts to return, but he was waiting for a role and a film that truly resonated with him. Actor: Take One provided him with that opportunity, making it an exciting reunion for audiences.”
The
trailer of the movie has already garnered attention with its portrayal of actor
Pradeep Khadka’s struggles and dreams of becoming an artist. The depiction of
the challenges faced by an aspiring actor has struck a chord with viewers.
However, Bhusal dismissed concerns that the film might create misconceptions
about the acting profession. “This movie seeks to present acting from a unique
perspective. As a drama-thriller, it does not tarnish the personal or
professional image of artists,” he clarified.
Bhusal
is confident that ‘Actor:
Take One’ can elevate Nepali cinema to international standards,
both technically and narratively. As anticipation for the film grows, January
29 (Magh 16) has become a highly awaited date for moviegoers.
The
movie features a star-studded cast, including Pradeep Khadka, Anna Sharma,
Divya Rayamajhi, Raj Ballav Koirala, Divya Dev, Srijana Adhikari, Usha Rajak,
and Sushil Sitoula in pivotal roles. The script is co-written by Akash Baral
and Rajan Bhusal. A joint presentation of Adhrut Films and A Moti Film, the
movie is produced by Thaman Kumar Bhandari, with Moti Karki as the creative
producer and Anish Bhusal as the co-producer.
